tamed un hand fed parrots?

I'm wondering if any one who has a parrot who wasn't hand fed who is and all ways tame?

I don't but I have done some reading about this. There definitely are breeders out there who do not hand feed the babies at all but rather just interact with them but let the parents do the work. Meanwhile other breeders pull early. I think the ideal is considered to be somewhere in the middle. A late pull and then lots of interaction with humans.

There are extremes of both scenarios.Pulling to early is said to take away the bird instincts and antibodies. Leaving the bird to want to be human when he isn't will cause depression,needs boundaries in are in environment.yadaadada
In some kind of way we adopt them as are children so i guess in the middle would be perfect,a little of both worlds.
I recently read a article of a renown birdy vet who is here in quebec, who say that the parents should do all the work and they will still make great pets and it is cruel to do other wise(her opinion not mine).They had a picture of 2 parent fed parrots sitting on a woman's hand.
It got me thinking and wondering really?
I've tamed birds before but they where quiet viscous in the beginning.
I recently bought parotlets from 2 different people the 1st one the woman let the parents do most of the work but she fed them a meal or 2 a day.The bird is a bit human resistant but quiet strong.

my budgie is aviary bred (tamed by me) my rainbow lorikeet im picking up on sunday (yay!)was pulled at 5 weeks old and he is as playful and happy with humans as my rainbow lorikeet to sadly passed away last year who was pulled a 10 days but i did n't have him until he was 5.

I breed budgies and cockatiels and I only do nature bred. I only hand fead the babies when the parents arent doing their job right. I handle the babies every day for a couple of minutes and when they leave the nest they are allowed to come indoors for an hour or so to get used to living indoors. They stay with the parents till they are self sufficient.
I am a believer that the parents teach the young a lot of birdbehavior that they need later in life. Not only for interacting with other pet-birds but also interacting with humans. Almost all the misbehaving budgies and tiels I know are hand reared and not socialised with other birds. especially if there is the wish to breed with the birds later on. Hand reared birds make very bad parents!

When you do decied to handfeed a young bird I would advise to take it out of the nest a couple of days before it would fly out on its own. that way it would have most of the natural upbringing without the trouble of not getting them on the formula.

All of the above is based upon my own knowledge and experience with budgies and cockatiels. Whether or not this also stands for larger parrots I dont know. But in my oppinion, parrots are just large budgies.

I handle them from day 1. The first day I check whether everything is alright. No birthdefects or anything. After that I check in every day at the same time to see if they are fed right. No need to handle them too much at this young age, but just peeping in every now and then and push them around with a finger to check.
When they are 6 to 9 days old they need to be ringed. So they need to be picked up again. Once to ring them, and the first few days after to check wether the ing is still on or to put it on again.
After that its regular check ups again till they grow quills. Then I pick them up every day for a few minutes. Once the feathers start to grow I pick them up more often and for longer periods.
After they leave the nest I take them to the livingroom for 10 to 20 minutes.
