I wouldn't be too worried. She might climb up on top of her cage and hang out there for a while but she's never flown off her cage unless spooked. And, if she did I'm pretty sure she'd fly/climb right back to it. She's not big on exploring/mischief, fortunately.

I have left Binx's cage open many times. He doesnt get in to anything while im gone, he will get out of his cage and climb up to the top of the cage where his play place is. he will play and when he gets tired he gets back in his cage. Hes really good when im gone, however, when i am home, hes into everything. Chews on tissues, newspapers, books, boxes.. LOL If i am home and hes out of the cage, i better be with me. Isnt it funny that hes good when im gone?

I vote yes, but only because I believe she would be EATEN by another noncaged animal, in a heartbeat, no second thoughts about it, a nice snack if given the chance. Some times, I will stop in my tracks, forgetting I have Java on my shoudler, freaking like where is my bird, and then realize there she is, as she always is. Kind of like if packing car, and then driving away, and you have a sudden anxiety attack thinking you left your child wherever you were, but then you realize, everything is okay and your child is right there in the back seat.

I'm going to vote yes, he got out of his cage before and shredded up any paper he could find, including unopened letters and important papers on the fridge XD

He is very adventurous and will tear up anything he can get to, he also likes puncturing holes with his beak in the blinds XD

That would depend on if the bird got out just for fun, he managed to unlock the cage, or if he was fifrigthned out.

Both have happened. When he gets out by using the door lock as a challenge he just uses his cage as a gym and lives on top of it and goes in and out as he pleases. But I wouldn't trust him for more than 12hours, the danger comes in when he gets bored and goes looking for me, then he will start to chew on things like books and paper items. He has occasional chewed wood molding when his cage was left too close to a door edge. ( changerd molding to plastic).

The frightned flight is different, he has in the past just looked over the house for me then climbed the stairs to the second floor to his second perch to wait for me to come home. This is his day time perch when i am home with him, it is his comfort zone. The benefit to this was the dog and cat were in the house with him and they have totally bonded, he will even share food and eat with the dog and cat side by side on the floor.
