aviator harness + leash - testimonial

Postby tacotaco » Mon Jun 07, 2010 10:11 am

Not sure if I should've put this in this section but...

I loved the leash i bought Charlie so much that I emailed the manufacturer of the product. I also sent some pictures of Charlie and I included in the email- well!! The owner actually emailed me back asking to use my email and pics as a testimonial. Of course, I gladly accepted.

Check it out- Click the direct link below

I saw a harness at a pet store on the weekend and it had an elastic leash ... what kind of leash does your harness have tacotaco? I was a little leary because of how thin the elastic leash was.

Thanks for sharing the review. And that is a great picture of you and Charlie :)

The point of the elastic leash on aviator harness is so when the parrot flies off, it slowly reduces its speed rather than jerk it to a stop. Furthermore, it's protection from breaking. It will dissipate the energy and stretch rather than break.

The aviator leash did look a bit a bit thin when i first got it out but it is very elastic and strong. As Michael pointed out it is for the safety of the bird.

yes it is quite stretchy incase they do get spooked or try to take off that its not gonna choke them and pull them back right away. it is very sturdy and seems unbreakable. it has about a foot or more of the regular leash material (the red part) and about 4-5 feet (im guessing) of elastic stretchy material. I really do think it is great and my bird does seem very comfortable in it unlike others i've tried.
