Pesquet's Parrot (Psittrichas fulgidus) also known as the Vulturine Parrot (leading to easy confusion with Pyrilia vulturina from Brazil)

But then you click Pyrilia vulturina and it says The Vulturine Parrot (Pyrilia vulturina), not to be confused with Pesquet's Parrot (Psittrichas fulgidus)

So is the Pesquet's also the Vulturine? :?

Hmmm... I guess more research is in order...

Vulturine Parrot is an alternate name for the Pesquet's Parrot. I even have a book where the bird is listed only by that name (Vulturine Parrot). Though maybe it is not the more common namesake for this parrot, because it can get confusing.

Pyrilia vulturina is another species of parrot called the Vulturine Parrot. This genus also has another parrot who's name may have got confused with another bird. The Orange-Cheeked Parrot (Pyrilia barrabandi), is AKA the Barraband's Parrot, like the Australian Parakeet.

Like there aren't enough names to go around. /lol

This one? Cool video. That bird would be a male, see the little red patch behind his eye?

To embed a video, just click the "youtube" button on the top right of the reply box and insert the numbers and letters after the equal (=) sign in the YouTube url, not the whole thing.
