I think you mean something like this, only yours will be able to be put at eye-height?
This one costs 41,20 for a medium size.

Ok so I drew it from what I can see in the videos.

I thought the adjustable height thing was a broomstick or something similar. He said no. I think the right kinda broom stick would work...

I don't really see a point in the adjustable table top perch. When it's on the table, the height doesn't matter so much. Mine stands on the floor and can go (ballpark) from 3ft high to maybe 6ft? I'll have the exact specs available once I settle on a design I think worth selling cause mine is still kind of rough.

I can't watch the video at home...we're on dial-up. But along those lines, had anyone ever tried one of these?

Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to come across this kind of competition cause mine is not only cheaper but definitely MUCH BETTER than that! 2x for $100, takes less space, and sturdier. I gotta get mine built so I can share pictures but it definitely helps to know that there isn't anything this good out there (which is why I started by making my own to begin with).

Michael, what do you use as a base? I don't think the videos ever showed it.... Would it still be standing if a bigger parrot landed on it from speed?

I think so! I'll have to see with the Cape but Kili has never so much as tipped the stand one bit. Obviously I can use a larger perch but I really don't have a macaw to test it on. I'll test with Cape but I'm nearly certain that any Grey, Amazon, Galah, and other parrots that size could land on it at high speed without tipping it as well. As for a macaw, I'm not certain but I suspect that it would still stand.

I probably would not buy one because I do not have a use for 2 stands like that. I do not plan to attempt training, as I don't know how, so no need for them. However, I would love something I can put on my desk, so that while i am working, she can be on there and eat and drink, etc., rather than being in her cage. As it stand now, she spends all this time on my shoulder and in turn, since I use headphones for my work, she bites the wires, grrrr, and makes me have to throw them out and get new ones.

Also, I have taken a few showers with her and it’s hard to hold her on your shoulder when you are naked, LOL, so would love something for the shower. Now, I just put her on my shoulder or hold her in my hand and when washing my hair, I put her for 2 seconds on the shampoo holding shelve thingys in my shower.

Somebody in another thread answered a post you had about going to teh pet shop to have Kili's nails clipped, and she suggested Sandyperches, and I googled that name and found a site where there is a shower perch thingy for 14 bux, so may invest in that.

The shower perch - with the large suction cups...works very well.

I don't have the SandyPerch one for the shower...but I've seen it and it looks pretty much the same. Just make certain the suction cups are secure before placing the parrot on it...they do loosen sometimes...
