Don't feed the bird?!

Sheesh! Harvard law is telling the students not to feed a small bird that got into the library so when the bird is 'tired' (read: dehydrated) they would be able to catch it. Who is counseling these people?!
All they have to do is put food and water inside a cage, turn off all the lights and place a flashlight shining into the cage... Doesn't anybody in Harvard (Harvard, for heavens' sake!) know this?!
