All the articles say that the gender will be determined in the egg but they don't say at what point during the incubation period that will happen although one article said that it would 'stop' incubation which makes me believe that it would be before the embryo is viable. They also don't say how they will be killed. I hope they figure out how to do it without causing pain (stopping the incubation maybe?)

Kitten with little chance of survival makes it! By the way, people who have never had to do it have NO idea how hard it is to care for a newborn kitten - it's, by far, the most exhausting thing I have ever had to do! By the time you finish with a feeding, you practically have to start all over again because the syringe feeding is slow going and you need to make them 'go' by massaging them after AND you need to imitate the mother's grooming or they end up as adults that don't clean themselves AND you need to keep them on your chest so it can hear the heartbeat, etc. etc.. You don't get any sleep and you are stuck at home all the time so my hat off to this lady!
