I would like to comment that I feel the same way. Not because of my age, but the language. Since english is a second (actually third) language for me, I sometimes find it difficult to follow conversations. I miss a lot of the finer subtleties.
But thats another reason I enjoy this forum. Everyone here is prepared to go the extra mile to explain things.

I have to say that your English is excellent Kim.

Thank you
I wasn't fishing for compliments though. I sometimes really miss the finer points of a discussion. :?

I LOVES DA BIRDS! If i had it my way, i would have had a pet ptarmigan, emu, kiwi, and many other birds, but the only birds easier found (and legal) are parrots... which are equally awesome!

2) because mostly the young people are the ones going online to learn about their parrots, or 3) because I started this forum and after seeing my videos, young people gravitated to me and other young people to talk to.

i think its both 2 and 3 .

2 because yes we spent a lot of time on internet , and in my case i 95% of my reading on computer even book i get them pdf and read them on the computer and internet is the faster way to get an answer for you question about you parrot instead of having to search in a book full of hundreds of pages .

3 because videos of you and Kathleen showing Duke's tricks was the reason i bought my budgies in first place . if i didnt see duke's recall and tricks medley videos i think i wouldnt have budgies now because i was amazed how smart parrots are.

im 15 btw

11 here. I actually came here because I was researching about budgies when we got them, and I just stumbled into the Trained Parrot blog. Then it was my favorite site to go on every day. I found out that I had a lot of questions and there weren't any experienced people around me, or anyone who owned parrots. So I joined the forum.

I fall under the 30-line at the age of 27. And to be honest I am a forum geek :) I'm signed up on all types of forums, both about parrots, motorcycle stunting, building bikes, horses etc. Well mainly them 3 subjects but there are a few others as well. But riding bikes, preferebly stunting, riding horses and birds seems to have bin a great interest for a long time. Even tho I just got my first own parrot. well to be honest I have had a :greycockatiel: and a :budgie: for the past 10 years. but their not really included in the swedish translation of parrot...or atleast ive never thought about them as parrots, we usually refer to them as "small birds". anyways everytime i take my budgie to the vet she keeps telling me she is living on overtime but healthy as never before. I dont know how old she was when i got her or how old she is now. the cockatiel I got first however, by mistake i might add, he had managed to get himself trapped inside my chickenhouse... and no success finding his owners i decided to adopt him.
