They now calculate 1.25 Billion animals dead but they also say they will not know for another 10 years what the total toll of this disaster is.

On the good news side, Versace is no longer using kangaroo skin and, on this same link, there is a petition under it for Adidas to stop, also.

Australia is really doing VERY badly for their animals. First link is biggest wheat farmer found to have cleared land illegally - second link is about finding starving and injured koalas in a private property (the fence prevented them from leaving so they could not find food and some were bulldozed over). 31 had to be euthanized so far...
