The short answer is that there is no good species to breed. There are too many parrots in captivity. Rescues are at capacity. Birds outlive their owners, or they outlive their owner’s ability to care for them.
Adopt a bird from a rescue, the SPCA, or from someone looking to rehome.

Welcome to the forum! It's great that you have an interest in parrots but we are all bird lovers here and, if you love parrots, you don't breed them. Parrots do not do well in captivity - it's as simple as that. It is hugely difficult to keep them healthy and happy because they are undomesticated species with physical and emotional needs that cannot be fulfilled in captivity. They are beautiful, smart, affectionate and very entertaining -which makes them very attractive to people. To make matters worse, there isn't a single first time owner (and this is no criticism, it's just a sad fact) that actually knows how hard it is to keep them - it's impossible for them to know because you need to go through the actual experience for it. So, after a time, when the novelty wore off and life changed for the owner (because this is also unavoidable), people give up on them because, again, as they could not give them what the bird needs, it starts to deteriorate both physically and emotionally. And they end up being rehomed or given up to a shelter - which, as Navre stated, are all full to capacity and always struggling.

Conclusion: if you really love them, you do not breed them. And you do not buy a baby, you adopt one that, through no fault of its own, ended up homeless.
