Honestly some people may be scared off by being told their questions are stupid or boring...

Not that anyone here would ever tell someone that. ;)

I was scared to post, honestly, after reading a few responses to newcomers but meh... I want insight into parrots by actual owners of them, not just from text books and informative articles. I want the down-low...the poop and blood and feathers.

...Could I have a nutriberry too???...

Well hopefully they read this and find that they can post with confidence. :)

I think if people read through the forums past posts before asking questions they'll quickly see that we're nice people and that there are alot of answers and information available for new and current parrot owners in regards to practically everything

I'll take one!

IMO the non-posters come in two flavors -- lurkers who want to see what is going on before the jump in and advertisers. I think there must be 'bots that can process registration because I've seen clear spam advertising crop up here and on other registration-only forums.

I've been guilty of joining a forum (or two) and not posting for well over a year after my registration.
I might have thought I had time at the time and didn't..or I don't know. Don't remember why I didn't start posting right away.

On some forums I join because some information is only available to members but did not feel like being an active part of the forums (for various reasons).

Yeah, I remember joining this one because I wanted to ask something, but then I found out all the members were sarcastic idiots who don't know a thing. But other than that I always participate heavily.
