This is actually interesting to know. I honestly didn't expect so many "yes" votes. Personally I end up finding product reviews boring and not reading them and this is why I haven't really done any on my blog. But since there is an interest, I'll try to post about stuff I get from now on.

So what does everyone think about ratings? Should I be giving them numerical ratings and what should the categories be? Or should it just be a qualitative description alone rather than a rating?

i would rate them on quality of item 1-10, price of the item (for what it is) 1-10 the design and eye candy aspect 1-10 and how well your parrots like it 1-10 then give it an over all 1-10

Most product reviews have a five star rating. Maybe easier to stick with the established system? Not a big deal, just something to think about...

I'm the odd one out and said no. I just think it'd take a lot of time and effort for you to do it and really it is not going to be extremely helpful, even just considering that many of the people on this forum aren't even American and don't have access to the specific items you would review. I have no doubt that you'd provide a thorough and well written review, I just feel like it's going overboard and you're doubling your work load for too small of a benefit to readers. That's my overall opinion.

Personally, I wouldn't utilize the reviews you put so much work into just because when parrot product shopping, 90% of it is based on Sadie's own specific preferences and personality. Well price plays a big role too, lol.
