I don't know why everyone's so anti-facebook. I think it's great, if for no other reason than it's incredible popularity. I'm sure there's a billion websites just like it, but what's great about facebook is that so many people have one, so you can keep in touch with (almost literally) everyone. And that's the same reason it is a great marketing tool. There are millions of active users that could potentially become your "fan". And it's flipping FREE!

Of course you should make one.

Everyone's reasons not to are the same reasons I say you shouldn't do reviews though, so I guess I see where they're coming from. But it's really not that much work... especially since you have your brother doing it now! lol

If your goal is to get as many people as you can to become aware of the forum and the training blog then you should probably do whatever you can to get the word out, including opening a facebook page.

Although I know you'll most likely not use Facebook in the same sense that a lot of people use it for their pets (as in Pet's page), I still wouldn't do it.

But I guess that goes with my own personal use of Facebook - I have little friends on there and it's most likely people I'll keep in touch with, not just the random people I use to know way back when..and even there, I don't use it all that much.

I think the mediums you are currently using are plenty sufficient and have a serious aspect to it.
However I try to look at Facebook, "serious" is not a term I would use to qualify it.
