The recommended forum avatar image is to be of the owner along with their birds in a 150x150px image (6kb or less). The idea behind this is that it helps us know about what parrot we're talking and to whom. Also it helps those of us that are terrible with names by remembering the faces. While you are allowed to have pretty much anything you want as an avatar, this is the suggested and most helpful way.

Yet, some of you decided to stick your bird stark naked in front of the camera and didn't have the decency (or courage) to get in there with it! Not to mention any names....

HyperD, ginger, Kim S, lzver, Azure Hanyo, Rue, Equuswmn, Ben, RichL001, lainmai, Mr.Darcy, bmsweb, BirdbrainJan, ptuga72, crousseau

We'd like to see your face too. How about a new shot that includes your bird and your face?

Then there's the people who've been active for some time now and haven't set up an Avatar at all!

Red Moppet, skeetersunconure, Giantmoa, JadeW

Come on, we've seen so many posts from you. We'd like to know who we're talking to. So to everyone that doesn't have an avatar with themselves and their parrot, please comply or I shall have to taunt you a second timeeee :P

Let me commend a few model members who have the kind of avatar we're looking for:

entrancedbymyGCC, el-parrot, MandyG, a.susz, Natacha, Mona, pchela, tacotaco

My apologies to anyone I'd left out from getting complimented or singled out. You know who you are and don't think this doesn't apply to you too!

The only reason I have the 'recommended' avatar is because you taunted me! So hopefully your taunting will work for others as well :P

ahaha, you got me. I tried to set up an avatar but my computer skills failed me yet again  that and I can't seem to get any decent pictures with me and my bird together. oops. unless, of course, you wouldn't mind a picture of the back of my head and her nestled in my crazy hair

Ok, no more excuses about computer skills and resizing. I've already been stuck making everyone's avatars so it's no different now. Just post the picture you want to use as a reply to this topic or PM it to me and then I'll size it and post it back so you can use it. Just keep in mind that it gets cropped into a square so try to keep the bird really close to your face so both can fit in a little square box.

I've been caught red-handed!

May take a day or two, but I'll see what I can do :D

tried to take a good pic in front of a mirror with myself and Maggie but none of them came out quite right. I'll give it a try again.
