I can't offer much advice here considering I haven't had the real courage to let Lucy and Jessie out too close to each to each other. However with Lucy being 5 and Jessie being 4, I have to say I'm more worried about Jessie going after Lucy and hurting her. My Jessie can be the biggest cuddliest monkey in the world, but look out if he's not in a good mood ... he just broke skin and drew blood with a bite last week.

I'll be adding Kylie the Meyer's to our flock in October and I worry more about Jessie. I think Lucy will benefit from having a similar speices bird companion around.

I wouldn't let this fear of them getting along stop you from getting the Cape. I've had Lucy and Jessie for over 4 years now and they don't come out together. I wouldn't say their quality of life is deminished at all .. I just need to make more time individually for both of them.

Is this because when you've had them out together, bad things happened? Or because you have never tried and don't know what would happen?
