Kim S~ How does your dog in the last picture see?? Do you ever get the urge to clip his bangs lol. Love it! They are all so cute!

Actually, he sees a lot better than the other two. You cant really cut the hair over his eyes, they go blind if you do.
But he is shaven now unfortunately. He has a braintumor and hartdisease and with the hot summer we had I thought it would be better for him without the heavy coat.

Hi Kim, I didnt know that cutting their hair over thier faces could cause blindness. How does that happen? So sorry to hear about the brain tumor. I hope he gets well soon!!

They are bred for ages with this kind of hair and their eyes have adjusted to a certain amount of sunlight. If you cut their hair the eyes will get too much sunlight causing visual problems.

Unfortunately his braintumor is in a place they cant reach, and there are no treatments for dogs the way we have them for humans. We can be very fortunate to have one scann in Holland that can look into the brain of animals. That way we at least know whats going on and 'treat' him accordingly.
The tumor was detected may last year and they predicted he would die within two to three months. But now, almost 16 months later, he is still with us. But you can see he is getting old real fast.
