It looks as if one of the projects I had fallen off the back end of is picking up a bit more funding. The job will be posted, but it is highly likely the perfect applicant will sound a lot like me. I got the formal layoff notice today, but I also go this news, so I think I may be able to dodge this bullet.

I feel your pain entranced. The company I work for is merging with another company and over 50% of the people at our location will loose their jobs. Good news is I have a second interview for a great job on Monday and I'm the only candidate they are bringing back. If everything works out I should have a signed job offer by end of next week.

I'm waiting for the contract with the project in question to get through the system, then for the job to post... but strictly off the record, it's in there, just waiting for the wheels to turn...
