NO! AWAY WITH YOU, HEATHEN!!!

I think a canary would be awesome, they're so beautiful and their songs are amazing. And their upkeep is just so easy! :D

I loved our canaries! I'm not sure about females, we always had males, but their songs are just beautiful. Well, I always thought so unless I was trying to have a nap. At those times I didn't appreciate my mom's birds

LOL...

Maybe we need a non-parrot...or 'other bird' forum...I also have a rooster I just love...even though he has no tail feathers :D

Well...today I tentatively checked out the petstores (to look - not nec. to buy)...no Gloster finches anywhere...no one had even heard of them...no parrotlets anywhere either...

But Petland has several overpriced parrots! Black-capped conure ~800, Pineapple conure ~900. CAG ~1600, I think the Red-lored Amazon was ~1700...

I found a GCC on Kijiji, 1 year old, cage and all (cage likely too small) for $300...

So I'm doing my research! Just for the fun of it!

LOL, "just researching" can be very dangerous! I bet there will be a new flock member soon :hatching:
I sort of (really) want another bird. maybe a diamond dove... they're just so tiny! its adorable ^_^ but canaries are very cool too and so are parrotlets and finches and budgies and... no I should stop thinking about them. it would be nice to have another bird around for my bird so she isn't completely alone in the house all day and mainly for me cuz one bird is never really enough ;) plus it seems like all everyone on the parrot forum is adding to their flock! ....weak excuses on my part, I know
but wow, 800$ for a gcc? Rainbow was about 350$ and the normal colored ones go for 250$ at the dinky bird store I live by... enjoy researching! and maybe getting a bird (hehe...)

Tell me about it. I can absolutely NOT have another bird for several years to come, period, end of story. The Goffin's I was going to adopt back when I very agonizingly had to decide on just ONE bird and chose Galileo is STILL at the rescue, and every time I go in there to get Galileo's food the dang little guy just HAS to start head-bobbing and grabs my hand with his foot through the cage bars and says "Hello!" to me. His name is Scooter, and every single time I see a post by Entranced I think about him and I have to yell at myself a little and remind me that WE DO NOT have room for another huge cage, or the time for another bird besides, especially a too.

NO NO NO NO!!!!!!
