You know...I think I am officially the only "active" BH Caique owner here... :violin:

hehe, we could fix that very quickly... if I was allowed to have another bird, that is...

Are you guys sooking about being the only person who owns a particular bird on here? Or bragging?
Cause in that case, I'm happy to jump in both catagories, I'm pretty sure I'm the only Red-Wing Parrot owner here. Which is cool, but at the same time there's no-one to ask questions from. I love the amount of GCC owners on here. I'd never even heard of them till we started looking for another bird.

Get the finches, you'll love it.

Haha  I've got three birds now, and two of them are new ones, really new. One of them's been with me just for 17 days.. And three is my limit, four cages wouldn't even fit in my car. But... I can't stop thinking about an Amazon :amazon: or a Galah :galah: ... I even considered getting a new car. (or a truck? hahah ) Maybe next year

i am in the same boat here! i have been chewing on the idea of a Mustache parakeet for about 2 -3 weeks now. its driving me crazy. i am going to phone the owner tomorrow so we can talk.
i need to know stuff. a lot of stuff.
i used to have ringnecks and these guys are like them somewhat and so pretty! i love the ring necks and all the birds in their family.
she is 2yrs old and her name is Skittles. she is asking $200 for her and her cage which is very reasonable. i have been making room in my head as to where to put the cage.
she would be my second bird along with Marnie who lives in the kitchen.
the new bird would live in here, the computer room. the 2 places i spend the most time!
help me please i am sinking fast..........................

I say go for it Marnie. You're already a responsible bird owner and know what it takes to care for one. You'll probably regret it later if you don't at least make the call and find our more details. I would suggest meeting the bird first before making a decision though.

thanks guys! i ask for a helping hand and you helped me alright, now i am going to go for it!! ha ha
i just talked to her owner and she is not hand tame although she has been working with her. thats ok with me. she let me hear her noise she makes, some quiet and some very loud, and thats ok with me too.
but then there is my husband  he likes to watch TV.
she also has a couple tiels and love birds so needless to say , there was a lot of background noise!!
her pomeranian and lhasa were yapping up a storm too, oh my!
she did say if she gets loud and interferes with TV or something she just covers her cage. so it should work for me.
needless to say i am very excited!! i hope to be able to teach her some some stuff and make her a very happy camper :D

"just thinking about birds....always dangerous" is an understatement!! we need DRUGS!!

At one point you stop thinking about getting new ones.
I can say, since I got Pixel..no urge to add any new bird in the near future.

I do still dream of that Cape parrot but it can wait :)
