WHAT A GREAT TIME!
the weather was perfect and there were thousands of people. Saturday afternoon i overheard one of the sales staff tell someone that they had already passed last years numbers. They had 3000 people last year and who knows what they will have this time. It was packed.

It was an EVENT! not only is the place huge, they added a large tent on the outside that had a large area for toy making (for free) filled with lots and lots of leather, cord beads, boxes.. you name it. Hundreds of cages and Java stands (@ 40% off) I got nice size triple cord covered rings that hang (about 36" long) for 6.50 plus 20% off.

The place has hundreds of birds that were touchable and sooo many people had there personal birds with them. I met Michael who had Truman and Kili. He had them doing some of there tricks... so neat to see them.

Parrot paradise supplied free food (hot dogs, burgers, corn, hot pretzels, and more water and soda then i could count. prizes galore.

Prized galore... when you got there a blue ticket that was for a prize every 15 min. they had little plastic penguin races (like the pinebox derby track) all the monies that were donated went to the Alex foundation. Irene Pepperberg spoke 2 times on Saturday, they owner Kathy did a very nice talk about things we should all know about birds.(i missed the foraging speaker)

i got a ton of free things, plus i was able to get lots of products for my birdie cupcakes that I make. I brought my little peep rescue and got a ton of support from the bird lovers there.

This place has stock literally to the ceiling and then some hanging from the ceiling. If it's made they have it. and everything was 20% off for the paloozza.

On top of all of that, when you purchased someone you got coupons for the Chinese auction. They must of had 200 prizes from big ticket items to small. Once you put your name and number on the back you then put the tickets in the little cups for the drawing of the item. Maybe I will win something.. who knows.. FUN FUN

I hope Micheal adds his observations. I loved it. I will be back next year for sure.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! SOOO MUCH FUN!!! :quaker:
Didn't take anybirdies but defiantly got alot of toys, samples, new food galore!!!
Got a brand new cage for 70 dollars since it was missing four doors.
I will be fixing this issue with plexiglass ;) Ps did I mention with all the doors the cage is worth 350!

I got Irene Pepperburg to sign my ALEX STUDIES text. Asked her a few questions one of which was "when do you think your next published work will be out?" She told me sometime in the spring. Right now it is in review...

I have some amazing pictures of this place. Anyone who hasn't been should go; believe me we are booking for next year!!!! Maybe next year I will bring one of the conures :) PS can't bring the quakers and ya'll kno why, because they are illegal in NJ!

I might post some pix later ;)

I'll be posting my full review, photos, and videos in the course of this week but in brief I'll just mention that I spent a total of $3.50 and probably got $20+ worth of stuff. I was thrilled to get to meet some forum members in person and one of their wonderful parrots. But overall I was kind of disappointed and the event did not quite meet my expectations. To hear more about why, stay tuned for the article on trainedparrot.
