im now looking for rio, i want to watch this =p

Whenever a new kids movie comes out, I "volunteer" to take my 5 year old brother. Truth be told, I usually enjoy the movies more than he does! I showed him the trailer, and we'll be seeing it opening weekend.

He's convinced that Einstein is now a superstar and has his own movie. Who am I to tell him otherwise? :P

I cant wait to watch Rio, saw a trailer before I even had Loro and I think its finally gonna be released soon...EVENTUALLY.
The green cheek I used to have in SA was also named Rio :(
They really should make more movies about parrots. Went through a faze about 2 weeks ago looking for all the parrot movies and really only found "paulie" and "the wild parrots of telegraph hill" that were featured souly on parrots. "Wild parrots" as I mentioned in another thread made me cry and I just loved it. Paulie I just watched again last night, was like a new movie to me as the last time I watched it I was about 11 haha. Also a great movie. When you have a bird you just understand them better.:pirate:

I made a promise to myself that when Einstein ever gets that close to death, I'll stay up all night cuddling with him so he doesn't have to pass on alone.

Law and Order Special Victims Unit episode 20 called "Beef" from season 11 shows a fictional owner of several parrots in one of the beginning scenes. I saw a pair of lorikeets in a cruel sized cage and some budgies. It's a "mature" show and I wouldn't highly recommend it for everyone because of the content, but it was interesting to see the birds.

My husband reminded me that one of the characters in "On the Edge", a running film loosely based on a true story, owns a macaw he is very fond of and call his "old man". The parrot doesn't play a big role in the film, but the owner, who was a communist, tells a story about trying to teach the bird to say "Workers of the World Unite" but the character tells, "Finally one night he said, 'Workers of the World Good Night' and crapped on my shoulder".

Is it true Disney is coming out with a parrot movie?
