Kathleen, that reminded me of an awesome series of Canadian commercials that featured different animals. I think 3 had parrots and they were really cool. I'm going to see if I can find them.

Parrots on TV: Prime Time

I was watching the AFC championship today, not even going to get into how much the Jets sucked, but I was surprised to come across a commercial with parrots in it on TV:

Remember my parrot marketing topic? Well I have to say any advertisement using parrots catches my attention. This commercial was plain horrible, made no sense, and was selling something I have no interest in buying so it definitely failed in that regard. It was actually really hard for me to find it again afterward cause I forgot what brand it was advertising. But this kinds of things definitely do catch my attention as a parrot lover. I'm not going to flip the channel or walk away when a cute parrot is on TV. I still have no idea what parrots had to do with insurance though...

For some behind the scenes footage with parrots, check out the making of as well.

I just saw a candy commercial for Almond Joy/Mounds. Looks like it had a macaw in it, but the scene with the parrot went so fast and it was difficult to tell what species it was. Probably either scarlet or green wing.

I ALWAYS notice when there's a bird in a movie, and then I always comment that:
- They're not in the right sized cage
- A Macaw/Amazon/Cockatoo/Conure/etc. doesn't sound/talk like that!
- Should they really be smoking in the same room as the bird?
- Why does that bird have no toys?

*sigh* But I do enjoy the glimpses of them - and letting Husband know what bird species they are.

Anyone see "The Office" last night? A couple Macaws had a brief cameo.

Whoah Jack Hannah got old...
I don't think I ever quite forgave him for bashing ferrets on Larry King or whatever show that was. I used to have ferrets and was quite defensive of them!

now I gotta find the office episode with macaws...
