There was a Cockatoo in a CSI episode once, housed in a too small round cage with no toys
The owners I think were the murdered ones tho, so there was some justice

I was just thinking about SpongeBob, only is it a Senegal or maybe even a Quaker? Not really sure!
Sorry if someone has mentioned it already, but there are several kinds of birds in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. The type that really sticks out in my mind the most is a pair of Peachfaced Lovebirds. :swaying:

By chance I discovered a Macaw pictured in a magazine for a clothing store called Delias. I don't really shop at it anymore, they just continue to send me their magazines. I attached a photo of it here. Sorry about the quality, I had to take this with a webcam and it's glossy magazine paper so light from a lamp reflected off the magazine. Looks like it's a Catalina Macaw.

I'm a huge fan of historical movies, namely Regency's (Jane Austen) and in many of the BBC versions, the characters have birds in their homes since in that era (and in Victorian times) having an aviary in your house was the "it" thing to do. One of my favorites is in the BBC version of "Tess of the D'urbervilles", the antagonist, who lives with his elderly Aunt, has an indoor aviary and they spend a great deal of time feeding and whistling to the birds. One scene even revolves around Tess learning how to whistle.

Also, can't forget the upcoming "Rio"! And don't be fooled, the lead characters aren't Hyacinths... they're Sphynx Macaws. :)

Also... and I know this isn't technically "on TV", but does anyone rememnber the old Viewsonic monitors? They had rainbow lories on the front as the logo. the new flatscreens don't, but if you pull up Viewsonic flatscreen advertising, they use rainbow lories as the picture on the screen :D
