Air Piurifier (questions)

I don't have an air purifier even though I know I probably should. I live in a very, very tiny apartment with limited floor space and electrical outlets and would have nowhere to plug one in. The good brands are out of my price range and usually very large.

I vacuum every day, sometimes twice a day. My Green Cheek Conure throws the hulls of seeds out of his cage. He throws the pellets everywhere. He tears shredder balls apart. My budgies, particularly PigPen, get into their food dishes and kicks and/or flaps the food out all over the floor. It keeps the dust and feathers to a minimum.

I'm interested to see how everyone else deals with their dust issues, though, and to find out if an air purifier really is worth it.
