Seriously, I'm all for being friendly, but that's taking it way too far. I don't generally talk about literature, football, or my surname on relatively anonymous forums. The fact that you'd know any of those three, let alone all three, is beyond creepy and quite frankly, really weird.

I just love coming back from the weekend to discover all this immaturity on this forum.

First of all, Lutino, this is a parrot forum, that means we're here to talk about parrots. Not only is the stuff you posted irrelevant but also inappropriate.

Kaylayuh, if you don't like the guy to be hitting on you, then don't encourage him by replying to him constantly. If you want to keep a conversation like that going, then do it in private but otherwise replying to it only furthers what doesn't belong on a family friendly parrot forum. And if you don't want people to know about your personal preferences, then don't go making everything public on twitter etc. Come on, it doesn't take a CSI detective to google your username and find out everything you like. People, you have to use common sense in what you post on the internet cause you never know who could end up seeing it.

Everyone else, I appreciate the concern but it's best not to encourage things like this to grow by getting involved. All participation only ends up encouraging the problem to perpetuate. In the future, I prefer that you express your concern to me (or the other moderators if you prefer to talk to someone else) by private message. We prefer to keep the forum focused on parrot related discussion (ok, we'll allow people who are obviously here for parrots to occasionally talk about appropriate random stuff with their parrot owning friends) and talking about these things in favor or defense just strays attention even further.

I can't check every single topic every day but I try to sign in at least once a day even when I'm busy. If you have a serious concern then please PM me as I check PMs before reading the forum. I missed what was going on in this topic this morning cause really I found it to unrelated to my interests and didn't check new replies to it. I'm not a big fan of closing topics or any kind of moderation, but there is really nothing more to discuss here so I'm closing this topic. If you have any questions about this, discuss them with me privately. Let's use some common sense, ok? Don't post information you're not ok with the entire world knowing but also don't engage members in any inappropriate or personal discussion publicly. Thank you.
