Ouch you guys!!
I've never been bitten. I used to be phobic of birds actually til we came across a baby CAG in bad conditions, we rescued him, and he got me over it. The sweetest bird ever. None of my birds even know HOW to bite.
I had CAG's and a Umbrella Cockatoo, and they've never bitten me, anyone else, or eachother. I got them very young 6-7wks and I think that helped, as they never learned the behaviour ie biting gets whatever is irritating them to go away or stop, and I guess Ive been lucky enough to have birds that have been nothing but sweet.
I'm quite strict with all my animals, given that I'm 5ft 5 and have always had huge hoses (18hh+) and I breed St Bernard dogs too, so I think my strictness comes from having to make sure my animals have excellent manners. I'm the same with the birds and they are loved but never spoiled, I think that also helps too. They know where their boundaries are. I just have t say no and my birds stop whatever they are doing and walk away from it. Everyone says they are more like dogs than birds
