When you are getting a parrot from a breeder... Did you pay the breeder for shipping (then the breeder paid the airline) Or did you pay the airline ?

It goes both ways. But almost always the buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping on top of the bird. There's a rare occasion they throw it in, but realistically you should expect to pay $100-$200 more for the shipping beyond what the bird costs. Then it's just a matter of you arranging with the breeder who pays for it. If I remember correctly, the breeder was going to charge me and then pay for the shipping but it just ended up being easier to defer the charges and I paid by credit card to the airline when I picked Truman up.
