I have been watching YouTube. They have some very old Amazons. One is 105 years old and looks like a geriatric man. Cinder is 75 years old and has a crippled left foot and can barely walk. Then there was a 45 year old that was showing a lot of age and forgot how to talk but did make noice.
I have been told they can live into their 80s. From what I saw the parrots in the wild can't live beyond 40.
What can you tell me. I am affraid for mine. I am 61 and don't expect to make it to 80. If I do Rambo will be 40. I don't want to think of him living the second half of his life in that condition and without me. Myrtle will be 20 and in her prime. It will be hard on her to reajust to another home at that age.
