My dream parrot would be an African Grey (like Irene Pepperberg's Alex) but would also love an Amazon. There are a couple at our local petstore that seem like real characters. But in reality I have my hands full right now with Jojo our baby (13 weeks) Meyer's. If I could stay home (when I win the lottery) maybe my dream will come true :D

Mine would be a Cape Parrot, because they are not to big and not to small, but I would have to save a loooooong time to get one. I also love Senegals and like Jardines.

My dream parrot is a Mullocan Cockatoo...but I know I will never have one. They are just too neurotic and I don't think I could possibly give one the home it deserves/needs. So I will just admire them from afar :) . Plus all the things I've read about them have scared me from ever owning one.

My dream parrot? Something that doesn't scream, doesn't poop on you or on your stuff, always steps up, never bites, never argues, and can do my dishes.

I just saw a baby Cape on Craigs List. I could not believe how cheap. You really can't go by my memory but I think it was $250.

I have a hard time believing $250 given they are typically $1,800 in the States. Was it a weaned baby?
