remove

How can I remove Rocky, my old rooster, and his 3 hens from my info. My sweet neighbor turned me in for having farm animals in my back yard within the city limits.

I tried to tell the cops that they were not farm animals but pets and I even had a coral for them to come in at night in the sunroom. He said "the law is he law" and that was that. It took me 3 weeks of extension to find them a good home where they will be pets instead of just chickens.

It has been about 6 weeks and I have not spoken to or acknowledged my so called good neighbor.

Damn, sorry for your loss Liz. Your neighbour is a total idiot, just ignore him.
I am glad you found them a good home to go to though.

Piss up a rope is not what I want to tell her.

My daughter's boyfriend' mother took them in. They have about 3 acres of secluded land.

She had her son and Rachel put up a fence for them and build a nice coop. They let them out to roam the wooded area whle they were home and called them into the fence when they had to be away. Even though they had a patio, they put lawn furniture in the yard so they could talk to Rocky and his girls who would come up to them for a chat. (These chickens were like little dogs. Rocky would come to me to get his waddle tickled.)

One day when she was out of town, Rachel's boyfriend went home to find all the chickens in the fence torn into pieces and 3 dogs laying on his patio with blood on their faces. They took off before he could get his gun but he knew where they lived.

The owner would not let him see the dogs. The cops said they couldn't do anything without proof.

Rachel brought them home in bags. Rocky and his girls are burried in the back yard with my other babies who have passed.

That is a horrible story Liz... sorry for your loss. Its weird how people can look at chickens and think of them as 'lesser' animals. :(

I'm so sorry about the whole situation. I had many chickens growing up and I know they can be special.
