This guy made a tutorial on basically how to make your bird fly to you and honestly he sucks at it. More or less just watch a bit of it, I end up feeling bad for the bird. Micheal's recall method is 10x better.

He's doing it with a different kind of bird and for a different purpose. I would never recommend using that method with a parrot. He's using it on a dove that is harnessed to him and can't fly away so it is forced to fly from hand to hand. He doesn't care about its well being cause it isn't a pet, it's a show prop for stage magic.
