"Earthflight" documentary

Postby arnoldus » Wed Jan 04, 2012 7:04 pm

I just wanted to bring this to your attention. The BBC has a new documentary miniseries on BBC One on birds, they film them with attached cams and with them in flight, it is beautifully done and I found it quite interesting. In the future, they are going to show parrots in Australia and South America as well:

I've been watching that, it's really good! The angles and cameras are so good, it literally looks unreal.

I can't wait for this to make it to our side of the Atlantic. We get "BBC America" but mostly shows only the more popular UK shows like Doctor Who and Top Gear...

There was a short segment this week about budgies, it was incredible. They were in a flock of millions! And even then a falcon had difficulties.

My mum told me about this, and I watched the one which had Budgies in it, it was fascinating to see them in their massive flock.
