Nice! I was actually in the back seat, I let my fiance fly in the front with my uncle. He was in heaven! My uncle and I are actually flying to KOXC tonight for dinner then back to KISP. :D Should be a nice flight, like always!

I'm jealous. I haven't flown airplane since the beginning of April. I did do some commercial glider rides this recent weekend though, so I'm keeping up with the flying. I'm saving up for some longer cross-country flights this summer. Kili hasn't come flying in a while, I gotta get her up with me again some time. I haven't taken her in a plane since her wings came in, but I don't see why this should stop me

PS how does Charlie like your fiance?

Oh wow, thats a pretty long time. The weathers been pretty good so we've been getting up a lot. I post pictures up on my facebook all the time and my friends all beg to come. I just read about those hard landings at republic and one upstate - ur right near republic, right? I hate seeing stuff like that - the plane with the four guys in it seemed a little too heavy and I'm guessing that's why they didn't make it very far when they got up? I don't know though.. :?

As for Charlie, well.. At first he really didn't like Billy very much. He would always get all fluffed up and defensive with his beak open. After a while he has warmed up a lot. Billy's family has had parakeets but other than that he doesn't have much experience - I must say though, he is very good with Charlie. Shows no fear and has grown very fond of him. Now when Billy is around Charlie will get all kissy and cute with him, but still will gravitate towards me more when I'm around. And that's how it should be!

I really wouldn't label this as a hobby, but I'm really into social justice. In high school, I was the co-captain of the social justice club. Every month we would pick a certain organization, and have a fundraiser for it. Some of my accomplishments were getting 500 people to send in letters to Parliament about the genocide in Darfur, paying for the salary of 3 female teachers in Afghanistan for one year, sending school supplies to an elementary school in Ethiopia, and when the Earthquake hit in Haiti, we did an immediate "empty your pockets". We went to every class room, and asked students to give up any spare change or extra lunch money, to send aid to Haiti. We were then given a dress down day (we went to a uniform school, so a dress down day is when we dressed in casual clothes for a fee of 2 dollars). In just two days we raised well over 1000 dollars, which was a great accomplishment considering the size of our small town school.

I haven't had the chance to do any social justice work in the past few months. But when I go off to university, I'm planning on either joining a club there or even starting up one.

As for my other hobbies, I collect dragon figurines, and have since I was little.

I really love movies, and my family has a collection of over 1000 dvds. I watch more movies than anyone else I know.

I am an avid reader. I love my books. Nothing is more relaxing then being lost in a great story.

I do some writing. Poetry, short stories, that kind of thing. I find it very therapeutic.

I love video games, but to be honest I suck at them. (That doesn't stop me from playing them though!).

I have a passion for zombies. Zombie books, zombie movies, zombie tv shows, zombie games, anything zombie.

I love all animals. I grew up on a dairy farm, so I've always been around them.

When I've got the time...and thats a big if lol:

I love to debate and share opinions, discuss things (surprisingly, I'm hugely introverted though)
I write, usually freeform poetry that I 'sometimes* perform because I'm a spoken word junkie
I love to read, anything and everything if I like the cover
I also paint and sculpt---but I'm a little rusty on that front

I also *LOVE* to learn, if I become interested in something whether its food or a culture or anything at all really...I'll research it to death
As well, I'm a huge spiritualist and often just like to mediate, sit, think and experience things----although being being an actual practing pagan can get tricky because candles and incense arent good with birds)

I love reading. I've decided this year that I'm going to keep track of everything I read (a friend asked me how many books I'd read last year and I couldn't count - so this is an experiment) and I've finished 16 books so far. It helps that I'm on holidays, but I read fairly quickly and will get through more than a book a day if I can.

I like to play video-games (though lately I'm more inclined to play my DS, because it's portable) and I like to take photos, though I wouldn't count it as proper 'photography', it's just a bit of fun.

I love fiction (particularly sci-fi) in all it's forms, novels, films, television and I have a huge DVD collection. I also really like to cross-stitch and bake, both of which are kind of antithetical to the geekiness, but I still think they're fun.

Sport-wise - I swim a lot (about 20km/week) and I'm in a 20-man dragonboat team with a bunch of people from work. We train/race every fortnight. I also fence foil three hours a week (and usually get hammered - even if I do win, because there aren't a lot of girls in fencing, and the boys are able to hit a lot harder than me).

16 books this year??

I've only gone through 3. Franny and Zooey, Night Star, and Let the Right One In.

My friends mom just gave me about 10 books, I'll be sure to read a few while relaxing on the beach in Mexico!
