I'm in NYC, I went to college in the San Francisco, dated a girl who went to Berkley. I'd still live in the area if I thought it would support my career. LOVE NorCal.

I'd go to a parrot related meet up. I went to the Long Island Parrot Society Expo. Got the feeling my girlfriend and I brought the median age down quite a bit. Nice to hear there are other 20 and 30 somethings who enjoy feathered companionship.


This is a new group that's about to have it's first meeting in NYC.

Mona is part of a group that gets together to talk about parrot stuff and does indoor freeflights with their parrots (of all sizes) at empty warehouses and stuff. Great for socializing the birds; I only wish there was more parrot-related groups things to do where I live. RC planes are king here as far as flying hobbies go.

That sounds amazing! I wonder if any people around NorCal do that... I didn't realize there was a larger percentage of older people into birds. I thought it seemed pretty mixed

Maybe it is mixed but as far as people who are enthusiastic enough to show up to an event or lecture early on a Saturday, that's generally feels like an older crowd.
