Easy toy

Do any of you have birds that like to shred?

Marvin loves to shred and I found a nice way to keep him entertained!
I take a magazine, like the old catalogs from Dr. Fosters and Smith.
I go through and crinkle each page so it stands up a bit and it ends up looking like a crinkly magazine fan.
Then I just put it on top of Marvin's house. He spends a lot of time up there tearing tiny bits off and then throwing them on the floor.
The nice thing is it's just paper so it's easier to clean up than wood bits or basket bits.

Do you use any homemade toys for your birds?
How do you make them and do your birds love them?

Well let's see... Anything in the house that isn't bolted down is fair game... The bird flies after all. Remember the thing Kathleen posted about "if I see it, it's mine?" Well I learned it the hard way. So I've been buying a lot of plastic drawers to put everything that used to lay out on the counter away. Cause if it isn't away, it's a new bird toy!
