They are I think, I can't really answer for Liz though.. I dont know if it's they way their treated from the day they get into the house or if we have been blessed with these zons. I read an article, well essay I found while I was searching the uni databases (I was really supposed to search for articles about women in 19th century British litterature, but hey gotta take a break from time to time.) anyways, this article was regarding pros n cons of sharing your whole living space with your birds and eliminate the cages in total to aschive some cohabitant rather than captive and captivator, well the article was overall quite hippie, but I could see some of the features when it comes to less behavior issues etc, but also some cons when it comes to having guests home, even with training I think it would be easier to use cages to make the training more exciting since that is out of cage time etc. well I actually do have cages for them if they would ever have to be put away and they don't mind going into them to play with some toys etc. right now their locked away in my walkin closet though because I considered them to take more place than it was worth for having them eat n play inside their cages, they for some reason never slep in them though. Wich hasn't bothered me (I know some like that for the security incase of a fire etc but if you can't get the cages through the door without screwing them apart thats not an issue, and it's actually easier to catch a scared bird outside of a cage than in a cage you have to climb into to reach everywhere). Anyways I'm rambling, but yeah I trust my zon to not bite anyone and to be kind if he decides he want to get close, usually with guests though he will hang out close but not too close, and he always flyes off rather than fight, he's still quite young though but hopefully since never pressured he will continue todo this. Only time I don't allow him to back off as he pleases is if there is something I've needed help with for example the vet, I won't have the vet sit around and wait for him to willingly do what is needed, but then I will grab him and hold him for what the vet needs to do, and so far I haven't experienced anything else than a day of grumpiness after being grabbed. So far all good, just hope it stays this way for the duration of our time together.
