What's that? Me? I'll give it a try during the week then. I usually try staying away from portraits and animals since I'm much better with skulls n demons. But yeah been seeing this thread for a while now and thinking I might give it a try. Just need to decide weather to make it a cartoonish or realistic and what medium to use... Since I do paint in different mediums as well as airbrushes and tattoos the latter is more unlikely though since I'm running out of room I can reach myself and there isn't too many bird freaks who gets tattoos that I know around here :p.

But yeah will try to have something done by the end of the week.

This is inspiring! I haven't drawn in six months :/ since I had a forced vacation (aka unemployment). Something about working a 40 hour work week and usually being busy on the weekends and squeezing in parrot time makes me veerrryy unmotivated *sad face*

I know EXACTLY what you mean! My PC is down, with all of my art software. Well I do have my gouache. Heh. We should just make ourselves do art, dammit!

Polarn is beautiful. It is strange that his blue markings go up over his head. Myrtle's blue is across her face and between her eyes.

thank you, well its more between his head than up though, its like a triangle, only the odd feather here n there in the yellow still being blue (as a chick he had more of em, and this pic is quite old) anyways when I photograph him in a slight angle from below it sometimes shows up as a massive amount of blue going up over his head and sometimes not :) but he has somewhat of a fading triangle shape (strong at the bottom) and weaker and weaker going up all the way to where the green on top of the head begins.

Myrtle was a gray green when I got her. Now that she is getting enough variety of food she has even turned blue under her beak and on her neck. And like I said she is blue from eye to eye.

Not the same skinny, dirty and scared little girl that I brought home.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.
