Yes it can be normal, you need to make sure he knows where the food is though if he hasn't already shown you that he knows where it is. Try putting a millet spray in the cage so he definitely can see it to start off with. Don't let him go too long without food though, if you think there is a problem take him to the vet to be sure. I would hold off on the training until he is eating well as he is clearly still uncomfortable in his new cage :) I'm sure he will be fine in another day or two.

Okay thank you and yes he has a millet spray in his cage and he was sitting on his food dish and he is pooping well so I think he will be okay I hope so. He also has fresh water again thanks for the help. :budgie:

If there are dark green-blackish solid areas in his poop he is eating on the sly :)

I would suggest giving him the same diet that he was on at the time you got him. If you change the food, he may not want to eat it. It's normal for a bird not to eat for a number of hours after arriving at a new home. It takes them a while to feel safe and comfortable.

You also may decide to not start training him for the first 3 days. I'd suggest let him get very comfortable in his surroundings, make sure he's eating and drinking water well and feels secure before you start to train him.
