I dont do new year's resolutions, but I will try to do a few things during the coming year.

Keep working with carrier-training, that being the fun carrier to go outside in, as Ive let that slip during the fall. The birds are not frightened of it, I reintroduced it a couple of days ago, but they dont go into it by themselvs anylonger either. Im guessing it will take quite a bit of work to get them used to it again.

Learn Leroy a new trick.
He's been amazing and learned 3 tricks during his year with us, but we've hit a wall with trick training there with him. He isnt interested in learning any of the tricks Stitch knows (he knows about a dozen different tricks) but we've worked with taming and recalls etc instead (some of you might remember that Leroy have had trust issues etc in the past).

Keep up our increased work with Stitch. He's come a superlong way and almost all aggression is gone, but he is still sometimes snap on reflex when I move towards grabbing him. Bites are very few nowadays, and he almost never draws blood anymore (knock on wood). I am very happy of his progress =).

And then there's the little things, like keeping at giving them the best food available, both pellets and fresh, let them have as much out of cage time as possible, shower them every other day etc etc, which are all very important as well!

Happy new year everyone, I hope 2013 will be a great year for you all.

My New Year's Resolution is to drink less

Oh, you mean with my bird :D

Well, I am happy to say that Michael is officially my mentor. I am studying his videos now. I've already made great progress in Tiki's behavior with food management BUT sometimes I slack and give her a snack (hey, that rhymed) but I know better! I am also happy to share that she said "Hi" more clearly the other night, so her vocals are ever-improving.

To be continued...

please don't breed. :violin:
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.
