Warning product

I picked this up on another forum so it is not my bird that dies.

Bird Bath Spray

We read the instructions and followed it to the tee immediately after spraying it on her we could tell that she wasn't acting normal so we quickly rinsed it off of her...it only took five minutes for Bella to die belly up on the bottom of her cage. There was no warning or notice on the bottle.
There is nothing we could have done to stop the reaction.

We called the company and they going to preform an autopsy on her to check if she breathed it into her lungs or if she had a severe allergic reaction.

Don't risk killing your bird, don't buy this product...The product had a picture of a lovebird on it and it killed ours...Just because a product is for birds doesn't mean it won't kill your bird, be absolutely sure it is safe before using a product.

Forbella"

:o I saw this on petco! When i went on vacations in January, And was about to buy it i had it in MY hands but then i saw a toy and decided Baylee needed another toy instead, plus the bottle said 32oz and i wasn't sure If the airline would allow it in a hand bag .

and if it turns out not to be the product but a coincidence the owner can now be done for slander.
Personally I think its best to always stick to plain water unless advised otherwise by an avian vet.

Its way too much coincidence that the bird begun acting weird right after they aplied it...

Exactly, a massive one but a coincidence all the same. How do you know the bird didn't have a heart condition that the excitement of getting sprayed triggered that a spray with ordinary water wouldn't have triggered too? it really wouldn't matter if he had been sprayed before, people run loads of marathons in apparent good health and drop dead on the 10th-rare but it does happen.
Until the autopsy results are back there is no way anybody should be saying that was the cause and yes they (and you) could easily get done for slander.

It would be like me going round saying all (brand name) toys are dangerous because my conure died after an accident with a bell... I could of had loads of proof that the accident happened and it is likely that severe weakening was the cause but it could just be a coincidence my bird died shortly after that accident. I did report it to the company which personally I feel is a much more helpful way of getting them to improve quality than blackening their name. The person should sent the rest of the spray off for testing to make sure there wasn't something on it that shouldn't be if there is then she would be within her right (imo) to go posting that it was a dangerous product.

Now I am all for product warnings if they are actually dangerous but fortunately one isolated case doesn't make a product bad.
