i translated the following information with google translate because i though it may be useful to people here.

i am enjoying this site annyway :D

Hello guys, today we will talk about how to prepare the mash in the house. It is not difficult, and I find this method a remedy to the crisis (we do everything in-house) and recreational (past some time) as well as natural (no preservatives, dyes, and chemicals). I will give you all the ingredients that I use, and techniques to achieve the best. Let's see what it is used:

• Four Eggs
• 250g of grated Bread
• 20g Distilled Water (tastes better)
• 5/10g of Multivitamin "Multivit"
• One liter of long-life milk, semi-skimmed
• 4g of Minerals "Picalmix"

PREPARATION:
• Boil the eggs (4), then we remove the shell and use four red, if we give the mash in pairs hatching or two red if couples are to rest.
• Now for the milk. Milk we are interested in the solid part, which will be formed after boiling with the help of apple vinegar. So, we put in a pot the liter of milk on the fire, and in the meantime prepare a 75cl glass (about 4 tablespoons) of Apple Cider Vinegar, that will pour into the saucepan with the milk, when it has reached the degree of boiling. After poured, we will see raddensare the solid part that is formed, expect that the milk back to boil, and pour the contents of the pot in a scolino kitchen, we press with a fork to remove the residual water and wash them with water for eliminate additional substances remained. In order to facilitate the drying of the preparation, I recommend putting it in a rag or Canavaccio, wring it out a bit and let it rest for an hour.
• Let us now, 250g breadcrumbs possibly on supermarket shelves, and put it in the food processor along with the 4g. mineral salts and to 5/10g of multivitamin, and the solid part of the milk obtained before.

Tritiamo the whole thoroughly, it would be better to wipe the mixture 2 or 3 times to remove lumps and parts too large, it will come out a dry mixture of quality, we can also pack and freeze for future use, to be administered twice daily and remove the evening rimasoi to avoid spoilage bacteria forming.

Please bear in mind that most animals are lactose intolerant after weaning and make appropriate alterations to the receipe if your going to use it.
I don't really cook for my bird but may try this thanks spriral for posting it.

yes i was not sure about the milk, either but one some web sites on the net it says its ok to give parrots small amounts of hard cheeze for calcium, but i am aware that they are lactose intolerant.
i am not sure i will use this reciepe i just thought other people can use it maybe

i give my bird hard boiled egg sometimes but i've never prepared anything this way i know that you'd have to be careful about spoliage and potentailly diarea, i think they do something with the milk so the mixture becomes quite dry, when its prepared correctly.

if i make it i will be very careful that i moniter my bird and the freshness of the food, check her droppings and stuff like that.

i am learning italian so i should try to translate the text better myself but in this case i used google translate.

I'm debating what would be best to use, theres a variety of things which are milk subsitutes such as soya milk, rice milk, almond milk etc there are also reduced lactose type cows milks available for people with lactose intolerance. I'm sure all these would be fine for birds (least sure about the last option though) but am unsure about the quantity of milk used in the recipe. I'm sure it would be fine as long as you dont feed too much in 1 go.

Regarding dairy products in general I wont feed stuff like cheeses at all. I do very occasionally let Ollie have a tiny taste of natural yogurt but again there is debate surrounding whether its ok or not.
