Ok a family member has asked if we can dog sit for them long term (1 year)
Edmund is used to dogs as he stayed with my parents when we were on holiday and they have a dog and there were no problems at all. Obviously they were never allowed to play together or anything and when in the same room the cage was well out of reach. Edmund's cage was in the same room when people were at home (living room) but overnight was moved into the dining room where he has his playtime behind closed doors away from the dog and when they went out they moved him. Not that the dog would ever get into the cage or even knock it (its a montana cage.. verrrrry heavy and robust) they just felt 100% safe that way.
The dog is a french bulldog, very small, very quiet, very docile and placid. Not really bothered by the world (he's a lapdog). He literally eats, walks, cuddles, hardly ever barks or growls..
What would be your advice... I haven't said yes or no yet
