Ringworm?

Postby socal_sarah » Thu Mar 07, 2013 9:17 pm

Can parrots get or transfer ringworm? I have about 15 small spots all over my belly & upper body that appear to me to be ringworm. I'll be confirming it with my primary care physician tomorrow. Just wondering who to blame at this point, lol. The only new pets we have are Cracker & 2 baby rat girls.

Ok, so this picture was taken on 3/14. It is definitely itchy for him as he's scratching it ALOT. It has also almost doubled in size since the 14th. Our almost 30 lesions (between my fiance & I) are clearing up quite nicely since I've been self-treating with clotrimazole (athlete's foot cream). Cracker is obviously not happy I'm having to put it on his cheek, lol. Our baby rat is also COVERED in lesions too, so she's being bathed in an anti-fungal shampoo (Malaseb). Is there any oral that you can treat a fungal infection with for Sennies?
