Whilst I'm sorry for the loss of your bird i'm very grateful its nothing that might transmit to you other one. I am concerned they mentioned carbon monoxide poisioning, why would they suggest this as surely it would affect both birds? for this reason I would say it is unlikely. Never hurts to get a detector though, they are cheap enough. Not sure if it would detect very very low levels of carbon monoxide though that may affect the birds but not us.

I'm glad too that she didn't die from any disease, so I know Wheatley is safe.
And I do have a carbon monoxide detector, so I don't think it could have been that.
I'm doing better now though, I sometimes find myself telling Wheatley to be quiet when he's loud and accidently calling him Ammy.
I may get another budgie one day, at the moment there's none for sale in my area. And we have no more pet shops that sell birds, so may take a while.
Thank you all for your support through all of this, it's greatly appreciated :)

Wheatly knows what happend. He was with the bird when it passed.

When Tweetle Dumb died, Tweetle Dee was with his body for a while before I found him. Tweetle Dee morned for 2 days before he would tweet again.

When Twinkle died, Lemone' stayed near her body until I took her out. He never recovered from it and died soon after.
