Hello all.
It's about 4yr old budgerigar female. Some time ago i've noticed this (look foto). What could that be? What to do with it?

Usually when eyes go cloudy looking its caused by cataracts, your avian vet will be able to diagnose the exact cause.
Does your bird have its sight? you can test this with a fresh cotton ball as it has little scent and doesn't make a noise when it lands. Hold the ball near to your budgie and drop it, if the bird looks where it landed it can still see. Sometimes animals that are very familiar with their surroundings still behave like they can see as they know where everything is- a bit like us finding a light switch in the dark.

It seems that seeing ability still more or less good. If its deteriorated it's not in that degree as where test with hearing/seeng needed. She flies directly to finger or shoulder, etc. and sees acorns and fruit pieces on the palm - not missig them. She obviously looks at the object with two eyes turning head both sides.
So no... Not yet.
Need to find out what exactly the thing is. Our avian vets aren't too good in ophthalmology. Though it seems there's a specialist and i'm trying to contact her.
