Mack,my :amazon: will make a fool of himself for Pistachio nuts in the shell. Hilarious to watch him hanging by one foot and fluttering until he gets one!!

I haven't had the guts to feed Elliot mango yet, since I've been researching suggested fruits and mango didn't pop up once so I've assumed it's not good for the bird. I've wanted to give it to him since I've had it at home several times, but I haven't dared before. You're the first one mentioning it, I think, so I guess it's not up on the banned-list along with avocado like I feared it was :D
And flowers, thanks for the suggestion! My lawn is overgrown with dandelions so I'd be delighted to put them to some good use. Do you feed the flower only, or the leaves as well?

i feed mango to my :irn: i think its ok its a source of vitamin k.

For Bishop it's apple, sweet potato and walnuts. He sings when he sees them coming. He also likes cracking open cooked edamame pods.

SerraFisk, is that a cat your parrot is next to in the photo? Cute, but don't forget that cat and dog salivas are poisonous to bird. I have a guinea pig in an open coral, I have to build a cover for the guinea pig pen now that my conure is free to fly around the house. My conure flies into the guinea pig pen, attacks the poor guinea pig, and try to eat her food. Not sure if rodden saliva is poisonous to bird, but better be safe than sorry. :D
