Kaytee Fiesta Max Food for Cockatiel?

Postby H3lix86 » Sun Jun 16, 2013 3:45 pm

I am getting mixed answers. Some people tell me this is very healthy for a :greycockatiel: other people tell me not to touch it with a 10 foot pole. Right now this is my :greycockatiel: diet, i am TRYING to get him to try fruits/vegetables but he literally won't go near his food bowl if anything but this is in it. including spray millet. I feel as though I am harming my bird due to mixed answers. I adopted him, and he is 6 y/o as far as i understand this is all the previous owner used to feed him. no veg, no fruits so maybe that's why he wont eat them? He runs to the opposite side of the cage if i put anything in his bowl but

edit: i have also had a cuttlebone in his cage for almost a month now and it has remained untouched.

Honestly, I love Roudybush as pellet feed, but that's just me...

It's ok but I don't like the fact that there is artificial dyes in the biscuits/pellets. Try feeding fruit and veg from your hand or keep looking for fruit or veg that your cockatiel will like. Mine loved apple and banana. It helps if you cut the fruit up into small pieces for tiels.
