baby senegal and pellets

baby senegal and pellets

i have read that birds know what to do with pellets but my :senegal: doesnt know how to soak them, ive done it for him to try to show him but he doesnt seem bothered and still chrunches them. although he does eat the soaking ones. never find any in his water bowl.

You should be glad he doesn't soak them. Mine has a water bottle so she just gobbles them up and then drinks a lot of water to soak them inside her crop :D

If your parrot eats pellets, you have nothing to worry about. The soaking is usually done to introduce parrots who don't eat pellets to eating them cause it is easier for them to eat that way. If it already eats pellets then there is no reason to.

my :senegal: soak the pellets and it gets really messy, how can i teach him not doing it

Take away the water while eating pellets and then give it after finished eating and take pellets away.
