Sunny isn't eating his pellets

Postby hlasdf » Sat Jul 27, 2013 2:38 pm

Sunny used to gobble down all of his pellets when he saw me fill his bowl, but recently, after we've started training more, he hasn't been touching them at all. He may eat two or three, but then he just waits for the next training session to eat more seeds. Should I halt training all together until he eats his pellets again?

Or try training with pellets or dried fruits instead of seeds so he can't have the option.

Either you're giving the bird too much treats during training so he's no longer hungry or the bird is sick and not eating. Depends on how much treats he's getting.

I'll try lessening the amount of seeds I give him for now. I think I'll chain together tricks so that he does more work but gets less seeds. If that doesn't change anything, I'll go with the pellet option. Thanks guys!
