Thanks everyone. No luck in finding her yet and despite exhaustion I haven't given up. Our only clues were the calls from last night. I am devastated, of course. I posted an add in the Oregonian and will post more fliers around today.

Everyone, I *may* have heard her as I once again searched the fields. I was playing a recording of me calling her from my smartphone and I heard what sounded like her call... repeated after I would call her. It sounded like it was coming from the trees which line the field. Well I'm there now with water saying "drink" which she knows and... nothing. Silence.

Thanks to everyone for all their notes and support. I am grieving like I've never grieved over a pet before, and I've loved a lot of pets in my life, but I've never felt like this.

My partner and I are still posting fliers, still searching, and doing everything we can. Our large-ish ad was posted in the Oregonian. It'll go for six more days and we'll also have a ad posting in the local paper.

Meanwhile, I still have hope... but I mostly hope that someone has her and has yet to see our flier/ad. That's what keeps me going.

I'll post any news, but I'll probably be taking a break from this site as I am grieving. Surely, I'll let you all know if she's found. At this point, I'm not in denial about it anymore and am accepting that she could be gone.

Down the road, if we don't receive good news, we'll have a little funeral for her.

Please, everyone... please... don't let this happen to you. Be strict about caution and safety. Don't open a door if a bird is loose in the house, make absolutely sure the bird is caged. Get special locks, do whatever you can to make sure this doesn't happen. Because losing your sweet, adorable, beloved parrot like this is so very painful and I will never be the same again.

Please do, and in the meantime - take care. We all understand how difficult this is :(.

Got my first sightings: a child told me she saw Tiki flying in the berry field days ago, and her dad said some friends of his saw Tiki flying in the neighborhood a few days ago. I hope I still have a chance in finding her!

That's really hopeful!! Have you thought about going door to door in the neighbour she was seen, telling each household about her and leaving your number so that if she's spotted they could call you right away?
